About Neal

Hi,

My name is Neal Andrews, creator of LINK MIndfulness. I wanted to tell you a bit about me, so that you know who is speaking to you when you practice mindfulness with LINK!

I’m a lifelong athlete. My first loves were soccer and running, and I was lucky enough to run cross-country and track-and-field on the Division 1 Level. After college, I continued road racing, got into triathlon, and I still play recreational soccer at age 50+. I love the outdoors, and I spend my time in Montana biking roads and trails, downhill and cross-country skiing, hiking and backpacking. My mantra is “Play Outside, Have Fun!”

I have worked in the fields of Fitness and Wellness for the past two decades, and one of the biggest topics I’ve been able to learn and adopt personally over that time is mindfulness. Because of my athletic background, I began thinking about all the specific applications mindfulness has for athletes. Often, in athletics, there are as many if not more mental/psychological barriers as physical barriers that keep us from getting to the next level, or achieving our very best. Mindfulness practice has the power to be transformative when it comes to our mindset, focus, resilience, and overall mental game. It can truly be the missing Link.

I hope you will enjoy the app, and practice regularly. I will try to add content on a regular basis. In the meantime, you can let me know how it’s going for you, ask questions, and give feedback by emailing me at neal.linkmindfulness@gmail.com
